The Tabor Centre, a registered charity established in 1990 offers a unique service in North Essex

  • Enabling & providing, throughout the area, daytime care for up to 70 severely disabled adults per week
  • Providing respite for their full time family carers
  •  The ultimate aims are rehabilitation of our members to enable them to live a fulfilled life within their family and local community, and for their carers to have a better quality of life
  • The centre is set in six and half acres of parkland linked by pathways which offer a ten minute journey to the town centre shops, pubs and cafes
  • Provides fully accessible transport to collect members and take them home
  •  Provides a modern and totally accessible building
  •  Employs professional dedicated carers, therapists and drivers
  •  Runs courses and activities which support members in relating to others in a group, and making friends
  •  Gives people more confidence to be independent in making choices about their lifestyle, work, and participating in today's society as equals
  • Provides hot home made midday meals
  • Works in Partnership with Primary Care Trust, Braintree District Council and Essex County Council
