The Tabor Centre, a
registered charity established in 1990 offers a unique service
in North Essex
Enabling
& providing, throughout the area, daytime care for up to 70
severely disabled adults per week
Providing respite for their full time family carers
The
ultimate aims are rehabilitation of our members to enable
them to live a fulfilled life within their family and local
community, and for their carers to have a better quality of
life
The
centre is set in six and half acres of parkland linked by
pathways which offer a ten minute journey to the town centre
shops, pubs and cafes
Provides
fully accessible transport to collect members and take them
home
Provides
a modern and totally accessible building
Employs
professional dedicated carers, therapists and drivers
Runs
courses and activities which support members in relating to
others in a group, and making friends
Gives
people more confidence to be independent in making choices
about their lifestyle, work, and participating in today's
society as equals
Provides
hot home made midday meals
Works in
Partnership with Primary Care Trust, Braintree District
Council and Essex County Council
